DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at the Entebbe airport you will be picked by a guide of Ithungu Gorilla safaris, depending on the time of arrival ,you will be taken to the Uganda Wild life Education Centre (UWEC) enroute from the airport, here you will be given introduction to the Flora and Fauna of the Pearl of Africa and you will have a glace look at the various capitated wild animals details and birds .You will also visit the grave of Zakayo the oldest Chimp. Our safari guide will take you to your hotel .Overnight and dinner at Fairway Hotel.

Day:2 TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK.
The day will start with your breakfast and you will be driven to the western side of Uganda along Kampala-Fort Portal high way, while aboard enroute your eyes will glance at the green tea plantations and the rugged hills of the Mountains of the moon as we approach Fort Portal Town. Lunch will be served in Fort Portal Town as the cold breath of the Mountains of the moon blow .we will then drive to Kibale forest national park, through Kamwenge– fort portal highway, as you travel you will be treated with the sceneries of the lush country side, lunch will be enroute. Arrive at fort portal and to Kibale forest national park. You later embark on sites viewing such as view of the craters, the tea plantation and village walk. You will later check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING
Early in the morning, you will assemble at park headquarters be briefed and you will head for chimpanzee the tracking. The forest is filled with birds and other primates noticeable as you trek in. Some of the other primates you may encounter include colobus monkeys, olive baboons, l hoest monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey. As you trek deeper in the forest you will encounter the chimpanzee’s human’s closest relation in terms of DNA and genotype. You will interact with the chimps roll your camera for elegant photo shoots with them. Later leave the park and head to your lodge for lunch and dinner will be served at your Lodge in Kibaale National Park.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO THE QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy the peaceful scenery early in the morning with sights and sounds of nature that are a great accompaniment to your breakfast after which you are to proceed on your journey to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Make a descent from the highlands of Kigezi to the Albertine Rift Valley Region which entails amazing things to see like the tree climbing lions, bird species, topis, Ugandan Kobs and many more wildlife species. Devour your meal while on a picnic before getting into the Mweya Peninsular and in the evening, check into your lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

DAY 5: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
Enjoy your breakfast and after join your guide who will be waiting to take you on a game drive around the park which will reward you with wildlife like leopards, hippos, water bucks, elephants, warthogs and lions not forgetting the various bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch and then enjoy the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is home to a number of mammals that can be seen basking on the shores. Opt for an evening game drive or choose to stay at your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

DAY 6: TRAVEL TO THE BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Kick start your day when your guide picks you up when you’re done with breakfast at the hotel so you can begin the voyage en route to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park which lies in the south western part of Uganda is commonly known for the “gentle-giants”; the mountain gorillas. Make a stop at the equator and take some photographs and another stop in Mbarara for lunch. Continue your journey into the rolling hills and plains of Kigezi whose lands are green and hills covered in terraces. Check into your hotel for dinner and rest.

DAY 7: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING
Have your breakfast early in the morning before heading for the park headquarters where you are to be briefed on the do’s and don’ts while in the jungle and also on what to carry before being distributed into tracking groups. Feel the adrenaline move through your body as you begin your excursion better yet when you finally get to see the gentle giants as they go about their day to day activities. Only get to spend an hour while in their presence; taking photographs and watching them before descending back to the camp for lunch. After you are through, go on a guided walk to the nearby Batwa community with several homesteads and check out their way of life, enjoy cultural dances and other forms of entertainment from the locals. Head back to your lodge to have dinner, get refreshed and get some rest.

Day 8: BWINDI – KAMPALA
We start the long but rewarding drive back to Kampala. On our way we will pass Mpigi village, famous for the Royal Drums Makers and of course the Ugandan Equator, where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir. With lunch on our way we will reach Kampala at the end of the day. Overnight at Orchidea Guesthouse.

Day 9: DEPARTURE
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on the time of departure you might have some time to spend in Kampala for a city tour. Visit the interesting and historical sites, including the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum and of course the African Craft Village. Afterwards we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
